When to take a pregnancy test calculator

A positive pregnancy test will often appear around the time of your missing period, typically 14 days after fertilisation / ovulation, and in rare cases, 9–10 days following these events. There is still a potential of having a positive pregnancy test down the road even if the initial test is negative.

No matter if the test is blood or urine, a pregnancy is only confirmed after implantation, when the foetus has joined the mother's blood system and connected to the uterine wall.
