Skillshare is a great website to use if you are someone who likes to learn how to do something, but would rather not pay money. Skillshare allows users to stream video lectures for free, or you can purchase the class that video lecture is part of if it's something that you think might be beneficial to your abilities as a musician. I would recommend watching the "Basic Rhythm" Skillshare class because it has a great philosophy, rather than just lecturing you on the topic. YouTube is an amazing website that allows people to upload and watch almost anything they want for free. If you are someone who is looking to learn how to do something, YouTube is the best place. The only drawback to using YouTube as a learning tool is that you have to be creative, if you want to use that creative side of yourself. Audacity is a great resource for the complete beginner that wants to learn how to record themselves. Ebay has plenty of guitar and bass equipment for people who are beginners or intermediate players. These brands may be considered outdated by other companies nowadays, but they are good brands nonetheless. I was contacted by the owner of that company, and he said that you can find plenty of new equipment on ebay that will be suitable for beginners. Musiciansfriend has plenty of really nice quality basses and guitars with some killer prices! I was able to find a Schecter C-1 worth $300 the other day which is pretty good for a beginner bassist or guitarist lol.
