It is recommended that when you are changing your router password then you enable password reset option. This will let you reset your password if you somehow forget it. Once that option is enabled, you will be able to reset your password anytime you want to in case you forget.

To reset your password:
1. Enter https://my.netgear.com/registration/login.aspx into your web browser address bar.
2. Click Enter or tap Search.
  The MyNETGEAR page displays.
3. Click Forgot your password?.
  The Reset your password window displays.
4. Enter the email address associated with your Orbi account.
5. Complete the captcha and click RESET MY PASSWORD.
  An email is sent to the email address you provided.
6. Click the link in the email.
  The NETGEAR Change Your Password page displays.
7. Create a new password and confirm it in the password fields.
8. Click Submit
  Your password resets.
