Its high density helps suspend oils in water, a property that is why it is often used as a beverage stabilizer. It is widely used as a base in chewing gum production. It can also be used as a substitute for brominated vegetable oil in citrus oil-flavored soft drinks. In some cases, both ingredients are used together. (approved by FDA 172.735)

Applications and Uses

1. As an antioxidant and softener in the production of ester of rosin styrene-butadiene rubber or polyvinyl acetate chewing gum and bubble gum, it has a good taste. (approved by FDA 172.615)
2. As an emulsion stabilizer in soft drinks
3. Hair removal and cosmetics industry as a thickener
4. Applied to tobacco coated urea fertilizer
5. As a thixotropic agent for pesticide dispersion
