The second World of Warcraft expansion, Wrath of the Lich King, takes place primarily in Northrend. A croissant-shaped continent surrounded by snow and ice, Northrend is home to the Forsaken, including Banshee Queen Sylvanas Windrunner.

This expansion also introduced a new profession called inscription, which creates scrolls and vellum for various enchantments.

What Is The Armory?

The armory is a feature that collects a player’s in-game information, such as gear, achievements, mounts and pets, into one place. Players can then access this information without needing to log in to their character or visit the website.

As part of The Burning Crusade expansion, the human sorceress Jaina Proudmoore and the banshee queen Sylvanas Windrunner journeyed to the icy heart of Northrend in hopes of learning whether their old friend and lover, Arthas Menethil, still lived. Their quests eventually led them to the dread citadel of Icecrown, where they battled his undead armies and destroyed his mighty blade Frostmourne.

In Wrath of the Lich King, Blizzard added the new profession of inscription. This allows players to create scrolls, vellum and glyphs for their characters. It also enables players to track their progress in the new raids that were introduced in this expansion.

How Do I Use The Armory?

The armory is a handy online tool that lets you view your characters and guild information without even needing to log in to the game. It also includes many of the same features as in-game, such as auctions that have been placed but have not yet closed and a news feed at the top of the page.

One of the biggest innovations introduced with Wrath of the Lich King is Heroic dungeons, where players can take on a harder version of any five-person dungeon for a greater challenge and better rewards. The armory’s Heroic Dungeon tab lists all of the available Heroic dungeons for each character, and offers a link to the appropriate Wowhead article to learn more about them.

Another new feature is the ability to create a custom group of up to four of your friends and view their character information all in one place, as well as chat with them directly through the Armory. How Do I Find Out What I Have?

The armory collects a player’s in-game character data and provides them with a convenient way to view that information from the website. Players can track their own Achievements, view others’ accomplishments, run comparisons between up to four characters and see character statistics (such as lifetime damage received or quests completed).

In addition to showing a player’s achievements, equipped gear, item level and raid progression, the armory also shows which pets and mounts they own. In the armory’s “Talents” section, you can also view a player’s major and minor glyphs. Moving your mouse over a particular glyph will reveal more detailed information such as its effect (e.g., “Increases physical damage done while Enraged by 5.23%”).

The Alliance has sent its forces to Northrend in a final push to break the back of the undead Scourge. Their commander, King Varian, is convinced that without a Lich King the Scourge would go on an unstoppable rampage across Azeroth. To that end he has enlisted the help of the Forsaken and their Banshee Queen, Sylvanas Windrunner, who is seeking revenge for her betrayal by Arthas.

How Do I Change My Transmog?

Many players enjoy changing their transmog based on many things, for example when they get a new weapon that looks cool with the armor they have. Other reasons for changing transmog may be to fit a theme (like pink gear during love is in the air).

In Wrath of the Lich King, players will have access to a new transmogrifier that has an expanded tab that lists your entire wardrobe. This includes items you've collected in the past (from gear vendors, quests, or crafted items) as well as your collection of current PvE and PvP sets.

The UI also includes filters that let you filter out specific types of items you don't want to collect (like low-level mail rewards intended for warriors or paladins), music rolls you don't want, recipes that you don't have any alts that can make, etc. It also lets you save "outfits" that you use frequently so they're available on all your characters.
